I'm looking to replace some handles on a couple of my knives and I want some good basic black horn and ebony wa handles. I don't need anything custom or fancy, I was looking at knivesandstones and yanagiknife, are there any other retailers I should be looking at? I'd also like to know how the handles from yanagiknife compare to knivesandstones.

Like Ebony & African Blackwood handles too.

Just a simple Ebony with horn that has little blond streaking in it nickel spacer 49.00 at Tokushu put it on my 240mm Tanaka G3 Nashiji. He has raised price last looked. JBone handles at Sugi are nice simple & fair priced.

Between K&S and Yanagi, it’s a tough call.

I am not sure what variety of ebony either uses. Some companies use a cheaper ebony and dye it black. My guess is K&S does not dye their ebony handles, but you can ask. I don’t think anyone meets Yanagi prices on ebony handles, but I am less confident on their variety of ebony. Not that a dyed ebony handle is a bad thing…

My prices are in line with K&S for a basic ebony handle, but the wait is longer. Personally, I prefer the comfort of my handles, but it’s safe to say there are biases . I have a few mun ebonies listed on Sugi, but they are not the black that you are looking for.

Received a couple of beauties the other day from @knifehandle37 on Insta. He has an Etsy shop too but just ordered through Instagram personally. Great guy and very helpful.

He does ebony handles too and plenty of other woods. Would definitely recommend. Cheap prices and cheap shipping too.

These two are African Blackwood & Rosewood.

+1 for @kemp2906 for knifehandle37. I bought 6 custom handles and they are nice. The only downside is that two handles with brass spacer and not flush and you can feel a gap. A bit annoying but no drama since it can be fix easily. Shipping price was decent and quite fast for someone based in Vietnam.

Have an order for 3 handles with him, can’t wait to receive them. Gave him a lot of freedom with it so I’m excited to see what he comes up with.

Was going to use letshandlethis but the exchange rate made his handles over double the price, and a bit over budget for me, of knifehandle37
