For sale is this nice Genkai Fudo Fuguhiki 270mm

I dont know anything about previous owners besides that I got it from a very respectable member of this forum

It was mirror polished by Nathan (knivfluencer on Instagram). Metal is unknown, but according to his expertise its either Shirogami 1 or 2.

Custom handle and saya are Jacaranda, made by Elder Alves (elderdossantosalves on Instagram)

It has not been used since it left Nathan's hands and I am getting bored of having Dust Collection Queens in my Arsenal.

The Genkai Masakuni fugu knife or should I say art work came in today.. Andres the seller did a masterful job wrapping and protecting it... The knife came in plenty sharp and pristine with a high gloss polish just as he noted on the post.. Pete 84 was kind enough to find me a bit of background on the knife. Though I have a 300 Fugu from the same maker, which is my favorite knife in a huge quiver of high end Suji, Yanagiba and Fugu's I had not heard of the Fudo series..I am told These were made, many, many years ago, specifically for the Kuniyuki brand that May not be in business anymore. Apparently this is a very old school, super high end brand who employed the craftsmanship of Genkai, Tatsuo Ikeda, Yoshikazu Ikeda, Shiraki, Genjiro and other top end craftsmen... I cannot wait to break out my next lot of fresh caught fish to cut as this 270 fits into my kit perfectly. Unfortunately, due to some medical issues I have been dealing with I am not scheduled t go back out to sea until August.. I have little doubt the next series of Sushi parties will include the use of this beauty.. Thank you Andres.. Perfectly done sir especially coming from Chile to the U.S....
