Hello all! I'm Billy, from Loong Workz, a name/brand that I just started in hopes of chasing after my dreams of making knives and handles I like.

I started off having cheap and simple tools quite a while back. My first few handles were.....let's be honest, straight up bad. I've come quite a long way since then, upgrading my tools and upping my skills with each and every failure.

I'm proud to present to you one of my first custom handles. I was requested to make a Hexagonal handle with an engraving of "宋" at the end of the handle to give it a personalized touch. Having never done any engraving before, it was definitely a daunting task, but with some time and practice, I'm happy to say it was a great success and I hope to challenge myself with more projects in the future. Thanks.

Recent custom order for 4 handles. Customer asked for tap cap designs and let me have free reign over choice of wood and cap material. In the end I came up with Ebony, purpleheart and red rosewood. Cap materials are horn for Purpleheart, a smoky effect resin piece for Ebony, red turquoise and copper wire inlaid black resin piece for 2 rosewood handles.

Anyone interested in my handles please feel free to DM me or head on over to my IG at loongworkz. Thank you for you time!

Another custom order from a customer in the US! Order was supposed to be for an octagonal handle with curly wood but customer changed his mind after taking a sneak peek at my other works. In the end we decided on a Wa-Yo design with a nickel cap. Customer added that he doesn't want the cap shiny so I came up with the idea of etching it. Safe to say it matches the wood well while at the same time being not too shiny!

Thanks for your time. <3

More new handles. Recently got some Zhennan wood burl and decided to make some octagonals. Was wondering if I should make tap cap design or a spacer design, ended up with doing one of each. Which is better? What do you think?

Thanks so much for your time and I hope you have a great day!

Even more handles! One with the forged carbon fibre is a custom, and the rest not. Thanks for your time. <3

These are really nice man. What does it cost you to ship to the US if you don't mind me asking?
I don't think this is the right place to be putting a price tag on anything, lets bring this into DMs c;

It's been a while since my last post, things haven't been going well for me for the past week so I took some time off to recollect myself.

For those who aren't following BST, I decided to quit my job after being personally verbally attacked by my junior at work and I thought I shouldn't stay any longer. I will try to dedicate my time to making more items as I might need a break from working with other people for some time.

Anyways, took this order quite a while back and only completed today cuz my supplier was having issues. All's well that ends well! 😄

Handle is made from Curly African Sandalwood with a Red G10 spacer and Wenge Ferrule. One for gyuto and a cute sized one for a petty!

Time for some walnut! Recently some people have reached out to me regarding petty sized handles but I didn't have any in stock at the time... Now I do!

I was lucky with wood when I picked the one for the petty, the wood had some curls in it which can be seen in the video. It's beautiful 🤩

Losing a saya pin can be the most frustrating thing in life, resorting to using broken pieces of wooden chopsticks as a temporary pin.

With time, people have come up with ideas of drilling holes into the pin and Saya and connecting them together using a string. This idea definitely works but to me it doesn't look as elegant, having a pin dangling around when you take your knife out.

In the end I came up with the idea of using a button to solve the issue, no pins to be lost, and no dangling strings or pins. Just with a click and your knife is secure and with another your knife can be pulled out to slice and dice your produce.

I won't be making Sayas as per request due to difficulty in making sure the saya is fitted to the knife without having the knife with me. As I'm located outside of the US, where most of my customers are, shipping the knife to me isn't the best idea either.

Thank you so much for your time and I wish you a great day!

Completed these 3 sibling handles a while back, totally forgot to take a video of them before sending them off to their owner.

3 handles made using two-toned ebony, with brass and black G10 spacers, for 240 and 210 Gyuto and a 180 Bunka.

Thanks for your time c:
