I did some cutting with these knives this morning. They not only look very nice, but they feel great in the hand as well. Exactly the right size and nicely rounded (but not too much).
From top to bottom:
- Ashi Hamono 180 mm Ginga gyuto. Snakewood with buffalo horn ferrule and cow horn spacer.
- Echizen Uchi-hamono (a.k.a. "Goko Hamono") 210 mm gyuto. Walnut burl with muskox horn ferrule and nickel silver/brass/black fiber spacers.
- Ashi Hamono 240 mm Ginga sujihiki. Amboyna burl with muskox horn and cow horn spacers.
