Hello, I need some help with the identification on this front/back kanji. Thank you in advance.

Kanji on the back is easy:
堺 白二 本燒 別打
Sakai white 2 honyaki

I’ll let someone else take a first crack at the front kanji 😅
Does the kanji which stands for "honyaki" mean the honyaki process as we intend it? Because the knife is clearly not a honyaki and has not visible hamon.

Oh I should correct that a bit too, 本鍛錬 means it's produced in a hamono by traditional Japanese method, not from a factory with machines.
Back in the days a friend asked that while we visit Yamawaki Hamono, and here's their answer(which is what I translated above)-
「本鍛錬」とはどういう意味ですか?
利器材ではなく、鍛冶屋により生地が鍛造されたことを証明しております。

Thank you for the fascinating correction. I read the kanji too quickly and extrapolated 本燒 from the first character 本.
 
Can I ask you guys what about this instead?
