@parbaked , what, and how do you think that dive restaurant Cordon Bleu makes that meat sauce they dump over rice? it is clearly tomato based, but I get lost right after that. I couldn't tell you if it was beef or pork. hahaha..I would guess pork.

I tried reverse engineering it a few times, and I always seem to head towards Italian. total fail.

any guesses?
 
I have no idea… never tasted anything like it. Seasoning is subtle.
The chicken and imperial rolls are epic…
