So, my gf went to Paris to close on an apartment. Simple little studio, sort of like owning a hotel room.

Naturally, we’re going to cram a dining table in there, so I want a semi capable cooktop, but I doubt if it’ll be used for forty meals a year

I was looking at this guy:

Anyone know if these are okay for light duty cooking? I mostly care about low heat because I’m not going to be able to use my clay pots.

BONUS Q

Are anova precision ovens available in the EU? There’s room for a something under the cooktop, that’s my favorite appliance!

whirlpool is one of the brands I stay far away from, I don;t know how others in the EU see that...

Pay a hundred more and get a respectable german brand like AEG, Siemens, Bosch, Neff...you'll find the similarities between 3 out of the four striking and they are no coincidence. Deals to be had a plenty so never pay list price.

As a side note, I may be stating the obvious, but hooking up an induction cooktop may require a special wall socket and power lines.
Shouldn't be a huge issue. Maybe it's already there.

Paris, great!!

SIemens/Bosch/AEG make some very nice ovens, yet Neff is the brand for ovens. Probably a bit more expensive than the Anova, though I only vagely recall it costing around $600.

anova oven is available in eu. just buy it from the website.

anova is owned by electrolux thee days, which technically makes anova swedish :)

i think you'll even get som more juice out of it running on 220v (according to one of the developers on dave arnold's pod).

Thanks, sumis. I wrote to them to ask, they have no inventory now but they confirmed that they distribute the product in eu.
