This for the vendors out there. WHY DOES NOBODY IMPORT THE IPPINTEI SAYA!?

Literally my fave transportation method ever. The velcro and compression straps keep the knife super snug and there’s absolutely no chances of edge chipping or tipping or cutting through towels or bags.

Granted I wouldn’t recommend it for mirror finishes, but it’s perfect for those of us who own working knives and travel between kitchens like I used to. I still own two of these saya and I love them. A lot.

Bump this is a cool product...can you just buy direct ?
(import them from rakuten or JDM)

To be honest I haven’t asked yet. I picked mine up in Japan and don’t *really* need more. I did a quick search among American vendors and places like Rakuten and eBay, but nobody seems to carry them.

I suspect, like many small manufacturers over there, they’re not super interested in selling to overseas end-users directly just because they probably don’t have the funding for the support staff that would require.

We need a US distributor! Where my vendors at?
