They are intended for faces. Perhaps the more adventurous/trusting have explored applications elsewhere.

They're the traditional Japanese style razors, though tradition might not be the most accurate word as there are historical kamisori shapes that are different. There are bigger and smaller kamisori. There are 5mm narrow kamisori for ears. There are smaller kamisori for women. There are tiny ones. There are longer rectangle ones for shaving heads for religious reasons. There are ornamental ones. There are old style ones for samurai.
But yeah, they're just razors for shaving hair . . . The same way single bevels developed in Japan, vs western chef geometry.
