WTB Large Coticule

Hi,

just trying if anyone out there might incidentally have a large coticule (ideally at least 60 mm wide) for sale...I just got a very sweet vintage coti with lot of manganese lines which is extremely fast and generally very, very good for sharpening of kitchen knives, its just a bit small (178x49 mm), so if anyone has something like this, let me know, please! Best would be a combo with BBW, no matter if a natural one or glued stone...

Thanks, Milan, I even already tried one stone from Nicolas (who is a very kind person, btw), one of the vintage XL Burton coticules, but it was unfortunately too coarse (definitely coarser than the BBW side), so I had to return it ...But yeah, something in that size would be great, unfortunately they are all gone already, except for 2 huge ones which both are super expensive...

Maybe ask directly to Ardennes Coticules. I get a great stone from them. A 200x75 if I remember well

Yeah, I know, that's always an option (althoug they have large stones like that quite rarely), I already had some talk with them, it would be just nice to have a large Coti/BBW combo, not a stone glued on slate as they generally come from them (although I know its just a detail)...I am simply trying my luck on something like that first before going for other options..

Actually, I already did even this...and got some interesting offers,but none matched that what I am looking for...I did a quite extensive research for Cotis lately and asking here was probably the last option which I didn't try yet...Sorry,should have mentioned that already in the OP, but thanks anyway for the willingness to help me!

You might also check ThePerfectEdge.com . I got a nice large BBW/Coti combo from him a few years ago. He's got different sizes and combos -- not cheap, though.
