Up for sale is a Martell 270 gyuto in carbon steel. Balance point is at the heel just in front of the makers mark. The edge is very sharp. $450 includes shipping in the CONUS.

Having just picked up a 240 Martell in CPM 154, Dave’s knives don’t get the attention they deserve. Great grind and substantial feel in hand. I’m sure the 52100 sharpens up even better. GLWS.

Totally unsolicited testament, but I consider Martell gyutos a part of KKF lore, and for very good reason. These were absolutely unobtainable when Dave first started to make them--mine took almost three years to come to fruition--and everyone on the forum that I knew in person had either owned or used and admired these. For the price, this is a steal for one of the most versatile, no-******** knives out there.

Also had two members ask about pitting. I did a little non-abrasive polishing and can confirm that its just patina and not pitting. Perfectly smooth to the touch. With the patina removed you can see the original belt finish.

I only did the left side that had the most speckles on it but these pics show it a little better. There is still a faint trace of patina that could be removed with further polishing.
