This is the first post of 2024 and what better place to start than with a MagnaCut gyuto? This blade is a slight variation on my sabatier inspired profile that is both flatter and has a lower tip. I've made a couple knives like it in the past, but it's certainly not commonplace for me.
Blade: 231mmx55mm MagnaCut (63 hrc) belt finish
Neck: 19mmx15mm
Handle: Bocote and walnut, oil finished and waxed
POB: 25mm from the handle
Spine: 2.49mm at the handle, 2.29mm at halfway, .35mm 1cm from the tip
Grind: flat to convex 50/50
Weight: 155g
Relieved choil and spine
Edge: .15mm@1mm, .19mm@2mm, .35mm@5mm, .6mm@10mm from the edge, measured at the midpoint,
Asking $405 U.S + $25 shipping. As always, if this blade is purchased in conjunction with another I will happily deduct $25 off of the price of the other blade.
