Does the color change depending on the lighting? I’m wondering if the purple and orange pics (and your blue/black) are all the same just with different lighting.

Steel turns purple when you force a patina with coffee? What kind of coffee are you drinking?!?!Its just a patina. Strong coffee soak will do the trick imo.
That did turn out nice and blue. What's the cladding?I'm simply guessing based on the available enchants out there.
Its obviously something soaked, but it shouldn't be a heavy enchant. It has to be something light and subtle. You know, like coffee.
I mention coffee because I was able to achieve this without trying. I imagine if I tried and tried found a particular coffee concentration and time ratio, I could tweak the colors.

Wrought Iron. It effects ferrite structures and martensite differently. However, I have seen shades like this over time on both core and cladding. It was always about soak time and concentration. That did turn out nice and blue. What's the cladding?
All the knives I've soaked with coffee turned out various shades of grey or black.
Result of quenching in the blood of virgin maidens?
I'm disinclined to believe that it's from a coffee soak; all my coffee patinas turned out dull grey.
