sanding corian

got a chip in the edge of a hattori kf corian handle. its bugging me every time i use the knife and i need to sand it out with some sandpaper.

do i treat corian like wood?

should i start with something coarse and move to finer grits?

any help is appreciated guys!

I've worked several times with corian on the handles. Used exactly the same sanding technique as I wood normally use for wood (except that you don't need to clean or seal pores).
