Nothing of concern really.
I find that wrought often get a darker patina and then regular iron cladding and when patina is removed, some get a way more colourful patina afterwards.

don’t be concerned about extraordinarily rusting or anything like that.

So there's no risk of it like rubbing off or something like that?

They only thing I can think of is to make sure the maker has experience with the wrought and and core being used, if the process is not right then you can have an issue with delamination. Most will see this during the finishing stage of the process but it can happen after the fact. So also ask what thier stance is on it after you get the knife.
