I don't know how Shiraki fixes his handles but the temperature is an important factor, keeping the handle in water at 85°C for 1 hour should allow it to be removed. I remember a Mazaki from which I could not remove the handle after immersion for one hour at 75°C under vacuum, after direct immersion for one hour in a thermoregulated kettle at 85°, i take the handle off without difficulty without the horn being altered.If anyone wants to commit an interest at $2100, I am willing to crack the handle and show the stamp.
