Picked up this Shobu in a trade. It was originally purchased here.

Specs:
  • 205x76x28
  • 901g
  • Used a few times
  • Near flat
  • One corner was chipped in shipping (bottom right in all pics)
  • Sealed with two coatings of spray lacquer
Details (subjective to my opinion):
  • Medium soft and easier to use
  • Muddy
  • Leaves great contrast on iron clad and a matte mirror on core
  • No scratches
  • Leaves nice refined but toothy edge
  • Probably around 4K
One video shows the finish with lighting another with natural light.

$315 shipped CONUS

Bevel on this yanagi is not completely even but the stone is easy enough to use where you can get a pretty uniform finish still

I would say it leaves light scratches not “no” scratches but fine enough where you could stop with this stone and have a working finish
