Have you used this one yet? I’ve been thinking of picking one up too.
Just for veg prep so far and it’s great. I plan on using it on lobsters and bbq this weekend. I’ll post an update, but based on my initial impressions I’m sure it will excel at those tasks.

Okay cool, I’ll look out for your updated review but pleasantly surprised to hear it’s good on veg too

Don't you love it when the new knife delivery beats the delivery estimate by a day! This Toyoma 210mm nakiri arrived Monday. Today was the first chance I had to put it through some paces. It's a beast, daddy's happy 😊

2nd from the left among its new rectangle buddies.

The bevel looks really good and the geometry is very different from anything I’ve ever seen

I’m curious if I might be able to go straight to natural stones with this one

beautiful.. excuse my party pooping or ignorance - but is that apparent delamination towards the heel concerning?

Got myself a Will Newham gyuto that has probably surprised me more than any knife I've ever received. Ridiculously nice and I didn't think I'd be saying this considering the other knives on my wall, but the best performing knife I own. As always I don't wanna clog up this feed with my ramblings so you can read more here in my collection post if you're interested:

Here's the photos though!

Jealous of that one, didn't realize it was for you when he was posting teasers! The timascus bolster is really cool. One day I need to try an S grind and or honyaki from Will. I love my magnacut from him.
