228x55mm 217g

Nearly 2cm shorter, but only 3g lighter than my other Yanick gyuto. It's interesting how much of a variation there is between two knives that at first glance seem like they should be very similar. My 245mm is solidly in the midweight category, but this one is edging into workhorse territory, at least on the back half of the blade. Really fun to try different work by the same maker.

Joined the Shindo club. 210 x 47 Gyuto. I dropped by Tokushu and snagged one before it hit the site. Only test cuts so far, but it seems very promising.

Love to see his working continue to improve. I have an early iteration of it that I love, and he's one of this class of young makers that's taking all the lessons out there and just running with it.

I am glad to see these finally shipping, I am huge fan of his work and hope to do a custom nakiri soon. I have one if his Vipers headed my way from the mass drop soon.

New to me. This 170mm aebl nakiri by @Knot Handcrafted has made it's way around at least a few other kkf members that I'm aware of. I made some personal modifications including a new custom handle and a couple other minor tweaks.

Not quite a knife but could be sharp as one...Hida Tool says white #2 core, other vendors call it S45C. I'm inclined to believe the latter. Still looking forward putting it on the stones like a nutjob.
