Hello,

I would like to sell couple of knives from my personal collection. I used to work as a fishmonger but not any more. Anyway I am also a fisherman and I like to cook and that is how I started to buy knives :) . Also I do some leatherwork as a hobby sometimes. I am selling this 3 because I dont find time to use them.

I am shipping from Europe, and I think I can ship worldwide. Payment can be PayPal.

Watanabe Kurouchi Gyuto 210mm Profesional line
price: 320€ (shipping price not included) SOLD

Mioroshi deba 210mm with saya
price: 300€ 270€
250€(shipping price not included)

- the knife is noname bought from rakuten market(japan). Steel should be Blue paper # 2. It cuts well and sharpens easily. It is not 100% straight at the tip, It is a bit of the line(about 1mm), but It is not noticable when sharpening or cutting.
- in the price I include custom handmade saya. I personally made it of vegetable-tanned leather(upper part) and bottom part is wood The connection is glue and saddle stich.
It is really nice and it fits the knife very well, better than all wood saya by my opinion...
- The knife was also rehandled with octagonal handle with buffalo horn (bought at rakuten Japan market)

Totally off-topic, but I loved the saya concept! Seems to protect the knife well and possibly keep it firmer than all-wood sayas. I would love to see a tutorial / step-by-step kind of post if you ever find the time... GLWS.

Hi,

yes this kind of saya keeps the knife quite firm, as much as you want/make it. It is really good for traditional (one side edge) japanese blades.

This winter I would like to make one for my deba and I can take some pictures and post the steps.

Still available:
- Misono UX10 Gyuto 240mm
- Mioroshi deba 210mm with saya (this is good knife, dont be afraid, with really nice custom handmade saya)

This mioroshi deba 210mm is also good as allpurpose knife for camping trips because it is quite thin.
And also for fileting fish.
