i've seen this bottle. i remember the charubic creepy kid in the logo.
I did a side by side putting all the brands at the well stocked asian market side by side and ate them with rice, and this one stood out above the others by a good amount with it's complexity and overall taste. Maybe there are better tests to set your preferences, but I've been happy with my conclusions from it.
 
I was actually stunned to see my very garden variety neighborhood grocery store stocking RED BOAT. it was a smaller bottle so perfect. it is saltier than the three crabs stuff I usually use. not bad!!! the saltiness caught me off guard since I used the same amount stir frying some cabbage and it was too salty.

Three Crabs contains fructose, which masks the salt content somewhat. It also has less fermented fish in it. (Red Boat has twice the protein content of Three Crabs.)
