I ended up starting with a Shigeki Tanaka Ginsan Santoku but I didn’t really need a knife so I handed my wife the box and told her to give it back to me for Christmas.

This is not about what you need.

A few years ago I gave my wife an x-mas gift with an x-mad gift for me inside it. Kind of the same thing.
