Hey guys,
Kind of new to the whole selling off knives on a more regular basis kind of a thing 😂

I was wondering what any of you guys do to get a hold of the right size boxes for shipping knives as ice run out of my old ones from purchasing from stores online

Let me know!

I get boxes off Amazon. I think the last ones I bought were 6"x6x18 and they're pretty big. 4x4 would probably work but erred on the side of more padding.

I use shipping tubes. The thicker ones from either Staples or Grainger.

4" shipping tubes offer plenty of room for me to pack it tight, and the USPS stacks and stores shipping tubes differently than normal boxes IE, less chance of them using your package as the base to a hundred boxes.

Shipping tubes from Staples is the way to go. Buy 5 and they are like 4$ each. I’m confident they could throw my package like a football and it will still be safe.

Tubes 100%. Nearly impossible to crush. Safest way for knives to travel.

But usually I keep the boxes that I receive with knives and reuse them when selling. With a regular box I wrap the knife in a cardboard triangle made from old Amazon boxes. Again, nearly impossible to crush or bend.

For stones, USPS flat rate boxes FTW.

Presumably because they have to treat them specially 😊

I like to imagine my knives getting their very own basket or shelf for tubes 😁
Yep. It was explained to me that their sorting machinery can’t deal with them and they roll, so need special treatment by humans. I was charged extra $13 for this fee, it adds up. As long as you are aware of this all good of course.

Forget what everybody else is saying. The best way to get more knife boxes is to buy more knives.

Usps small or medium tubes are best, and you can order them free. They're actually triangle shaped. Very sturdy and perfect size
