Thank you! Yes, all of the above, spot on. In my case sending from Japan to Sweden, I would have to add "time & effort" to find, order, repack and then ship everything. It's quite a project when friends and family back home wants to get things from 5 different stores sent to Sweden.
This forum came up in search when I was looking for info about a site called zenplus.jp (.com?)or something. A U.S. based friend recommended it to me, he orders from multiple stores and they repack everything into one box and ship it. He's never bought knives though, but says it's probably my best option to get food, the knives and a bunch of other stuff in the same box. And I don't have to deal with packing/shipping, which is mainly why I am trying it out.

If anyone has tried out the zenplus site, any info would be very appreciated.

Welcome.

Michael from Knife Japan may be a good resource for you.

Thank you! And thanks for the site link. That looks like a really solid resource. I am looking for something where I can order both food and knives and have them sent in the same package to Sweden. I mentioned zenplus in another reply here, and I am trying them out this week, but will definitely check Knife Japan for info as well!

Welcome

If you find a way to ship knives to Sweden I will be very interested (being a neighbor)

Welcome. I'll also note that the forum's Swedes can point you to suitable Swedish knife-makers as well.

Welcome to the forums.

Which part of Japan do you live in?
