I bought my first Japanese Chef's Knife like 15 years ago... It's still going strong.

I've also gifted quite a few - hooked a few new people on the quality and beauty of Japanese Knives.

I've lurked forever... Figured it was time to join since I'm in the market for a couple more knives for myself.

Oh yeah, I have gifted my mom two knives. I got her a Nobu VG10 w/ Purple Maple handle which she is too afraid to use because it is too beautiful. So, I got her a Tokushu Stainless Clad Blue #2 Nashiji 165 mm Santoku which she loves and uses.

Zach from Tokushu knife here. So glad your mom is enjoying her blade. I still can't get my own mother to make the switch to nice blades lol
