I don't care what the hobby is, gardening or Lego or kitchen knives or car restoration, ain't NO hobbiest spending less than $255 a year lol. I got a friend who collects mechanical pencils and puts up bigger numbers than that.

Data is either flawed, or the average adult doesn't have hobbies at all lol.

$255 in 1971 is worth $2K today. Thats more like reality.... for the noobs.

Or maybe there's just plenty of people who are poor enough that they drag down the average.
Also depends on how you classify 'hobby'. Most would probably not consider their cooking or kitchen stuff 'hobby'.
