Hello Everyone!

I am selling something that is extremely hard to get.

What I have here is a Shiboridashi made by a rising star - Gafu Ito. The capacity is ~80ml and the clay used is high quality shudei. He processes and ages his own clays. It has beautiful hammered pattern.

Gafu Ito’s fame has absolutely skyrocketed lately. His pieces are so hard to get these days that it is almost impossible to get anything online. Even his exhibitions (by appointment) get sold out in advance. I was able to buy this through a gallery in Japan that I have direct relationship with.

A Shiboridashi teapot is used in making gyokuro or highest quality sencha.

The teapot comes with original paper box (Gafu Ito doesnt sell his teapots in wooden box).

Asking for $215 which includes shipping to North America.
