its always sad to see people about to lose their jobs, even if plastic is polluting the planet (not like its going to change much though)

Say what you will about MLMs, Tupperware made some great products. Which is why bankruptcy confuses me, they had so much brand recognition every plastic container is called Tupperware in my area of the states. All they needed was to do seasonal collections on shelves in places like target and they would have been fine. They had decades to adapt. Amazing product combined with generations of leadership that were put in washing machine spin cycles as children.,

Tupperware filed Capter11, which is reorg/ restructuring to try and salvage the business. Plenty of companies eventually emerge from Chapter 11.

*should* Tupperware survive? That's a different issue. Plenty of glass storage container makers out there, so that would not be an easy path to take themselves.

They made products too indestructible to have repeat customers?

I once offended someone organizing in-home events marketing adult appliances.

“Oh, you’re selling Shtupperware?”

Long lasting container like Tupperware is actually not bad tho, it’s the one use plastic that’s the worst

I will miss them, they used to have small stores all around China, I love reading their brochures and magazines, very well designed, tho they are very expensive for what we earn back then
