The OP asked for a sheath for his Chinese cleaver. That inspired me. I want one -- no, two, one on each side of my belt. Edge down, handle angled slightly forward for an easy, smooth cross-draw. Maybe a third one on my back, for the over-the-shoulder draw.

Can confirm. Currently own one cleaver with a @BillHanna custom cardboard saya and it works greatJust get an edge guard, or make one out of cardboard.

cardboard is absolutely ugly on my nice looking knife. I wouldnt do that to it.
