I'm Selling my Suehiro splash and go 300/1500 combination whetstone. Comes with plastic base like in the picture & small nagura. 1500 grit side will give you mirror finish to your blade/ edge. Unlike cerax, this stone is true splash and go.

i have a 1000 and 3000 grit... theres a sale for stones on mtckitchen and i was wondering if theres any others i should get. Most people said going beyond 3000 even for my sg2 knives is pointless. Anyone have an opinion if i were to get another one?
I was recommended to get a 3000 grit whetstone to touch up my sg-2 and vg-10 knives. However Shapton only makes 3000 grit on their glass stones and not the ceramic/pro line. They do have their ceramic stones in the 5000 grit. should i just go with that one? Another option is a King stone at 4000...
So, I talked to Jon, the owner of Japanese Knife Imports in california, and he told me that ceramic honing rods aren't good for your knife. I forget exactly why but he was pretty passionate about it and went into specifics that went over my head.
