Selling this Uchigomori Jito from Ohira mine in Kyoto. There are some nice details on the stone with a lot of Renge. It’s used as finisher in the final process of polishing. The Stone is very hard and suitable for Jibiki. Ohira Uchigomori are finer than Mizukihara and creates a fine, light and clear finish on the cladding while polishing the core.
After opening with Atoma the stone creates a good amount of creamy slurry.
The polishing power is high and the sharpening power is medium. For this kind of stone it’s pretty fast.
There are a few Cracks on the stone that are not toxic.
