I’m sure I’m missing something obvious here, but these are marked as Aug 9 2023 and it’s only the 4th today. Is Naoto a time traveller? Or am I an idiot and missing something.

Ah! That makes a lot of sense! Thanks everyone. I always figured they were marked for the day he forged them.
I think that is the general idea, the knife’s ‘birthdate’ but I don’t see why someone couldn’t request a specific date, especially if it’s not too far from the actual finish date.

Has anyone tried that barracuda honesuki? Looks super cool, and I'm curious if the unusual shape is still ideal for chickens or more for other types of butchery.
