Hi all! Picked this up as a project. It came to me well used with light pitting throughout and some funky tip geometry from repeated sharpening. I’ve fully cleaned it up and taken it back to a factory-esque finish with a hairline finish on the ura and hira, imperfect kasumi on the clad, and bright mirror core.

This knife feels perfectly balanced for a long slicer, takes a mean edge, has a fantastically ground ura, and generally is just a dream to handle and use. This knife isn’t for collectors but someone who wants a sublime kitchen tool they won’t be afraid to use.

$675 shipped in the USA, intl pays chipping cost less $15

210 on the right not for sale.

Sick banding in the core for us polishers too. This is from an earlier step in the work and isn’t reflective of the current state but shows the banding in the iron nicely.
