Shame there is no composition given by Takefu. Not much to go off in their little brief about it, besides hardenability to 65hrc which is nice of course....but tells us nothing about carbide type or volume which is a shame. Weird how it seems most steel companies are very happy to release their composition except takefu lately.

This will be one where we will have to see some real world experience which is obviously most important, but composition would still be nice to see.

Problematic for us as enthusiasts but it's hard to blame them considering how much they got ripped off in the last decade.

Yeah but for other corporations they just need to run a lab analysis to see the comp, tho it make sense if there’s no product on the market yet
 
Has anyone bought or tried one of these knives. Whilst I inherently trust James at KNS and he informs me the grind is essentially Sukenari would like to know more in terms of edge retention and other properties. It’s not a cheap gyuto but with honyaki hardness
