JB upping the price to 575 GBP. $732 and they're gone in minutes.
But the secondary market is a bit soft for his stuff at the moment. I think he will hit an inflection point soon. Once people start taking big losses on selling his stuff they will be less willing to purchase it first hand. Or maybe not, just my opinion. His stuff is attractive at $500 for me, not $700+. A bit too rustic for those prices

I was surprised to see this at the same price as his more'rustic', tbh.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Joel, nicest chap out there and I love his work but I think I’m just not comfortable with the current pricing given that for me personally I usually like to clean them up a bit - redo the polish, swap out handle, etc

I think it kinda depends on the knife. Joel makes a lot of different stuff. I think his prices are fine for the twisty boi and the honyaki. I sometimes feel he prices his more complicated stuff at a price lower than my expectation but he prices some of the more basic knives higher than we I would expect. He also charges very little for his sayas.
