Rainbow patina in the frosty north
+1. My yoshis see pretty heavy use as the beater lasers and they only get a slight haze in the right light. cpmM4 is another tool steel correct? Remember it from spyderco limited runsView attachment 291721
blank blades CPM-M4. Patina is slower but definitely patina. Excited to see how much this will develop as the PM steels seem to patina slower.
Interesting for me because I can't seem to get the Yoshikane's SKD/A2 to patina.
Powdered metallurgy high speed tool steel. Really good stuff, tough and very abrasion resistant+1. My yoshis see pretty heavy use as the beater lasers and they only get a slight haze in the right light. cpmM4 is another tool steel correct? Remember it from spyderco limited runs
Yep on the yoshis. at this point i think a2 is stainless. I think m4 is a semi stainless steel and this ver is a powder metallurgy version of it.+1. You have good taste with paintings and furnitures man. Love that chair in the back.
Mostly cutting through a thick slab of meat! Then used a tall blender for the coffee dipBeautiful. How did you get it this even?
Nice! This is the next knife on my list. How do you like it?
I love it. Great little knife. I've been using it for a few years. I took mine down to a zero edge with a light microbevel and haven't seen a chip.Nice! This is the next knife on my list. How do you like it?
Is this a custom? Striking looking handleAfter thin slicing through a rib roast and some eggplants
