Whether they have the stamp or not... these guys are legends.
Ya, I’m with you on the hype behind the makers I’m just failing to see how this is different than the first time. I thought having them all be “master smiths” was the new twist.

Maybe it is the battle of the most expensive knives?

Two more … prelims needed to reduce multiples to a single entry in the BOG. Which will emerge, Damascus blade or ?.

Dude is just conjuring these amazing knives out of thin air meanwhile my next custom is like 8 months late.
It may seem like that but in some cases I have several year in hunting for them. As these knives have arrived I’ve been constantly amazed at their cutting qualities. They are definitely not just a bunch of pretty faces. What made the Battle of the Giants possible was the arrival of the Rader Damascus blades. These were the hardest to find. That said there still are a few blades I would add if I could.

My purchases in March were modest by KKF’s standards, but it was my biggest month to date in the relatively brief time I’ve been a collector.

Ahhh, you were the one that beat me to that Tsourkan, I asked for it 3 minutes after the post and was second. I see you bought a few knives lately

Lol. Yeah, that's not modest, even for KKF.
That’s very flattering, but a single Brian Weekley or Bico Doce combo post blows my whole month’s finds out of the water.

Also based on my chats with them, I strongly suspect a number of KKFers (who’re rightfully keeping their cards close to their chest) had a much more…expensive month than I did. 😄

Yes and yes. This thing FALLLLLLS through anything you may choose to cut. It does not discern… it only cuts.
Agree. If your a cleaver guy, you will probably really enjoy it, the grind is pretty impressive.

That's more than my entire gyuto drawer.

Snatched this 200mm Xerxes in apex ultra and ironwood.

Geometry is his laser/user friendly but still has some heft at 200g for a relatively short knife.

Performance is out of this world - best cutter I ever used. Even more so than the single bevel ‘serial production’ knife he made a couple years back.
