Richard & I went on a longer hike 9 miles total. We came upon a huge tree that had fallen across the Manoa cliffs trail in last heavy rain. We finally ended up on Paoha flats lookout into
Nuuanu valley. We then hiked along the summit ridge for more views.

This is a cool picture too the bird & turtle look to be wood carvings. Plastic wrap on runners covering lanterns & dining tables. Tower, signage people. Kind of reminds me of Ridley Scott's movie Bladerunner it's easy to see where he got his creative inspiration from.
A lot of the restaurants in that area have elaborate signage displaying what they sell…

How about some big city lights?

For any New Yorkers here: It was taken in 2016. I'm sure there are some new buildings now.
City lights?

Can do!

Was freezing cold last night but the air was super clear

Here are a few of my holiday pictures from Madeira. It makes a great nature focused trip, with plenty of stunning sights and hikes. The food was also simple, hearty and exactly what I felt like having after a day out and about.

Nice pictures clouds make it.
Yep food tastes better after hiking to summit even if just a good sandwich. My favorite food after hard hike is Mexican.

It's my friend Alvin's board from old photo. The water hides the blue round nose. If remember around 7'4"
China Walls point wrap.

One of my boards used a lot 6'2 Schaper. Liked it fast long enough to paddle out for my weight low volume nose easy to duck dive.

Speaking of boards. There were Aipa surfboards aplenty at his memorial paddle out.
