Yes I assume you are right about country. Nevertheless I know that in China this kind of food can be found too. I was on a business trip and locals confirmed it but we had to go very far away from our residence and did not have time to do so. Plus my other colleague would vomit..

Well it seems she is able to get her knives that laser sharp by using the classic 45 degree angle and the dry, un-lubricated Arkansas oil stone.
