@jedy617 seemed to have issue at getting it sharp...

It is more of an issue I think because I took an extreme amount of metal off behind the edge. If you have a bit more care, and maybe leave some of the low spots on the cladding I think you should be safer, you just won't get a perfect polish.

I posted two boxes on the box thread. The first one was the @martinhuber Nakiri passaround. The second one is the newest member of my knife family. A Raquin from @bryan03. As a french, I'm ashamed it took me so long to finally get one from a french maker. (Also came with a nice biscuit ehe)

The knife is a 210 x 58 mm gyuto made with a 26c3 core steel with a xc10 cladding. I love the look and the height of the knife. The kuroichi and satin finish look amazingly rustic.

Choil shot - Profile - Balance - Maker's mark

It tapers from 4.2 - 2.1 - 1.9 -1 mm. The handle is burnt oak and has lots of texture

I like my Kaeru more that I thought I would. Not the thinnest BTE but the geometry is more sophisticated than I imagined (sort of an S grind with low bevels).
