Is that similar to a pork chop?I prefer the the fattier rosu-katsu (loin) to leaner hire-katsu (fillet).
Rosu-katsu is like pork loin chop and hire-katsu is from the tenderloin. Is that similar to a pork chop?
It took considerable willpower to not turn this off before getting to the endSharp Knife Shop tests how much abuse a Japanese knife can withstand. Great lunch-time movie.
Gotta love when Ilya doing all JDM Stuff. He's an Otaku to the max. In a good way.
Does this go here? Sharp Knife Shop tests how much abuse a Japanese knife can withstand. Great lunch-time movie.
I believe the proper technical definition of this process is "thinning the s**t out of a knife"..
I stumbled across this by accident. I really enjoyed watching that video, even though it is quite long. I learned a fair bit.
Anyone recognize anything in this kit? I might try them out (from video info) - Where to buy: Matcha bowl/chawan: https://www.amazon.com/Matcha-Kaneta-... Sushi chef knives set: https://www.amazon.com/Hiroshi-Knives...
Very pretty. But also totally silly to use a 270 mm knife to do this. It probably would have taken less time and far less effort with paring knife or similar.
